Queen Mary
If you have reservations at one of the restaurants or lounges aboard the Queen Mary, you get on board for free. Then you can walk around, read all the signs, and learn some amazing facts about the ship. Look for the small white signs, posted in many spots, that describe ghost sightings and paranormal activity. There are not too many similar opportunities out there!

I have been all over the Queen Mary many times, and also have been involved in a few ghosts hunts, including one that was featured on Celebrity Ghost Stories. I always suggest to people to stay on board the ship, because you have access to many areas. It is one of my favorite places.
The Queen Mary was used as a set for many films, including Chaplin, SOS Titanic, and was the inspiration for the SS Poseidon used in the original Poseidon Adventure. The actual model of the SS Poseidon is nearby in San Pedro in the Maritime Museum.
[Gene Murrell, 07/02/2014]Queen Mary - Haunted Encounters Tour
My husband used to be a tour guide for the Ghost & Legends Tour that is not meant to be scary, just hokey and fun. That tour is 35 minutes long. There used to be special effects 10+ years or more ago but the ship has gone through a lot of owners thru the years and the funds have not helped to improve what has broken down on that tour.
There is a more detailed haunted tour that is 1 hour long called the Haunted Encounters Tour. The Queen Mary is beautiful to visit day or night but due to vandalism in the last two years, you cannot get on the ship for free anymore. You have to pay a few dollars per person but that money can go towards eating at one of their restaurants.
During December they decorate the ship to show off its beauty.
