Out N About Treehouse Treesort

This "Treesort" is alive and well in Takilma, not far from Cave Junction. It's said to be one of the largest collections of treehouses in the world, with at least 15 of various heights, sizes, and designs available to reserve. It's not clear if the treehouses have received full city/county building approval, and the Treesort's website mentions a 2008 accident on the aerial suspension bridges between some of the highest treehouses that has resulted in a renewed jurisdictional claim as well as lawsuits. That being said, the treesort is a marvelous forest retreat -- and the treehouse cabins that are somewhat lower to the ground feel wonderfully safe and cozy. In addition to the treehouses, there is a common cooking area, barbeque grills, outdoor fire pit, laundry facilities, and a lodge with a fireplace and limited breakfast.

There are also several ziplines, horseback riding, and great fields for frisbee and fun. Prices are reasonable, and some of the treehouses are winterized with heaters.
