Alien Head
The alien is still there, with his whole body, but as for anything to do with the Hunger Games, there is nothing. That is why we went there, and the people in the Visitors Center knew barely anything about where to go to see the Hunger Games houses. Unless you really want to see this alien or are remotely close than I would skip it!
[Amanda, 08/18/2021]Alien Head
An alien head and hands are in the Burke County Visitors Center. The head was used in Alien Abduction (alt. title, The Morris Family Abduction), a 2014 "found footage" sci-fi fiction horror film filmed in Burke County. I asked, and they let me wear the head (I'm not sure why I did not ask to wear the hands). Incidentally, Morganton is the setting of Master of the World (1904), one of French sic-fi writer Jules Verne's last novels (which I guess I have to put on my to-read list for 2016). And you can buy "District 12" t-shirts there as well, as Burke County is where much of The Hunger Games was filmed.
