Cave City, Kentucky - Golgotha Golf To Transmogrify Into Dinner Theater, Haunted Mine One of the nation's few Bible-themed miniature golf courses will soon be replaced by a pair of new attractions. Cave City, Kentucky - Golgotha Bible Mini Golf Checked into Golgotha mini golf. It is still there on the hill, but in increasing disrepair. I couldn't find a realtor sign or phone number anywhere. There is just a small car gate at the road that is easy to walk past and look around. The three large crosses at the end of the golf run are gone. Off Mammoth Cave Road, It is on the top of a hill, easy to pass since the sign is now missing. [James Hite, 10/16/2006]
Cave City, Kentucky - Golgotha Mini Golf and Fun Park - Closed! As of September 18,2002,the
grounds at Golgotha Fun Park are losing the battle against Mother Nature. Gauging from the advanced state of disrepair, very little "fun" has taken place
in nigh on two years. Risking "Cave City Justice",as I like to call it,my brave girlfriend and I explored the grounds.
The biblical figures are still recognizable, but this is little more than a testament to the quality of latex paint. Weeds have begun to
overtake the green ways. Shadows fall everywhere. The adjacent go-kart track resembles a scarred and cracked dry river bed.
For no apparent reason,a sun faded concrete alligator watches the non-happenings from Turn 3.
We spent the better part of an hour wandering around the Golgotha grounds, stunned by the fact that something this horrifying
still existed. [T. Kuszynski, 09/25/2002]
Cave City, Kentucky - Golgotha Bible Mini-golf - Closed? It seems the Golgotha Fun Park in Cave City, KY, with the famous
Bible-themed minature golf has closed. Phone is
disconnected and the Cave City Visitors Bureau said no one has heard from them in
a while. [Gary Warner, 08/07/2001][RA: A separate note from "Sean" on July 25 advises of a slightly different status:
"We went to Golgotha Bible Mini Golf in Cave City, KY this past
weekend and it was great but they are not open consistently. We talked to a few people near the place and one lady in particular who
runs the Ice Cream/Fudge - mini golf - Haunted Maze right down the road from it said that the owners of the Bible Golf are trying to sell it.
Apparently, they have another business in Cave City and this is just a side business now. There really are no set hours of operation, some
weekends they are open and some they are not. When we arrived on Friday it was closed but luckily we went past it on Saturday
afternoon and it was open and went in." ]
