Fouke, Arkansas - Boggy Creek Monster I was at Fouke in July of 2007 and they still have the monster counter where they sell books, keychains, and t-shirts with the monster on them. They also have a wall of yellowed newspaper clippings relating the stories of the creature.
Store employees were very friendly and enjoyed talking about the movie and the mystery. It was fun to hear them relate personal memories. One said she heard it howl and it always howls three times. She grew up down by the creek, where he is said to travel. [Terry Beck, 08/11/2007]
Fouke, Arkansas - Boggy Creek Monster At the Monster Mart in the small town of Fouke, there is a whole counter devoted to the creature, with a nice variety of souvenirs. The people who run the store are very friendly. There is a monster mural and cut out for photo ops. [Joe Desiderio, 03/03/2006]
Fouke, Arkansas - Boggy Creek Monster In the 60's and 70's many people saw and heard the Boggy Creek Monster that roams the Fouke area, south of Texarkana, Arkansas. There have been sightings as recent as a few years ago.
There isn't much to see in Fouke, but the general store does sell some souvenirs, and displays some old newspaper articles on the monster. There is a large wooden monster set-up where you can stick your head in the hole and have your picture taken as the Boggy Creek Monster!! There was even a movie made about the infamous monster called "Legend of Boggy Creek." [Scott MacRae, 07/10/1997]
