The paint is fading, and you may need to take a pretty close look to make out all the details. You wont be able to fully appreciate it without pulling over. We drove past it on our way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and had to stop on our way back. There is a donation box attached to the fence, but it didn't look maintained on a regular basis.

It was literally off the road behind a fence and we missed it the first time. The next time we drove through we missed it again and finally made it. Very funny and something you never see in life. A must do if you drive safely while doing it.

This appears to be an art installation, or a practical joke, or maybe just an excuse for a party. It's close to the road, with not much of a shoulder, but there's also a pull-off about 30 feet away.

There's a video on YouTube taken in February 2012, which includes a statement from the apparent leader: "We go to town meetings, and people do not listen to us. This is the way we get attention from the town officials." And: "Pretty soon we're going to teleport a transparent greenback squanderpotamus. So keep an eye out for that." The "Assa 9" team members in the video are dressed in hazmat suits and bow to the UFO, which appears to be an old satellite dish.
