Known for its crazy exterior. Many famous film cars, including Deckard's 1982 Bladerunner sedan and K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider. Unexpected vehicles include a see-thru French Citroen, a gold-plated Delorean, and limos owned by Saddam Hussein and Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space.

Southeast corner of Wilshire Blvd and Fairfax Ave. I-10 exit 8, north on La Brea Ave. for around three miles, then left on Wilshire. On the left, just past the Tar Pits.

Batmobile.

Petersen Auto Museum

A fantastic collection of automobiles and revolving exhibits. We went there to see the 1966 Batmobile -- it was like the Holy Grail for me. Also, we saw the Black Beauty from the Green Hornet TV series, John Densmore's truck, and the actual cars that were used to make the hot wheel models from, including the Mongoose and the Cobra.

The motorcycle is by artist John Holt, with a sculpted metal skeleton over nine feet tall (if standing) clutching the front wheel. The eyes in the skull are headlights.

Seinfeld Taxi presented to Petersen Auto Museum

A taxi which appeared in over 30 episodes of Seinfeld has been donated to the Petersen Auto Museum in Los Angeles, CA. The owners, Budget Rent A Car of Beverly Hills opted to give the gift to the museum, a branch of the Natural History Museum of LA County.
