One Bathtub for an Entire Hotel
We followed some low-key signs and arrived at this squat, depot-like building, and scared the volunteer half to death when we walked in the open door (It turned out the museum wasn't open). She was a good sport, however, and gave us a private tour of the interesting little tidbits of local history. Along with pony carts (and goat carts) of all shapes and sizes, there was memorabilia from the Class of '47 (15 students!), a neat 1916 film projector, depression-era dresses made of chicken feed sacks, and -- best of all -- the narrow metal bathtub that once served as the single bathing facility for the entire Cline Hotel. The museum also has a working player piano, which she was willing to let us try out.
