Half-Buried Giant Woman

"Awakening Muse," 40 feet from head to toe, is a sculpture by Don Lawler and Meg White. It "depicts a female figure stirring from her slumber beneath the earth," according to its accompanying plaque. To me, it looks like some poor gigantic woman desperately clawing out of the earth after being buried alive.

[John Takao Collier, 08/09/2016]

The plaque states that the 2006 sculpture "excites imagination and brings inspiration to its viewers," so imagining that it's clawing its way out of the ground is perfectly acceptable.
