- From Teton, drive east seven miles on Hwy 33. Turn left at the historical sign and electrical substation onto Teton Dam Rd. Drive north 1.5 miles. When the road bends right, turn left into the parking lot. A short walkway leads to the overlook.

Teton Dam Overlook
At 11:55 AM, on June 5, 1976, the earthen Teton Dam collapsed into its reservoir on the Teton River. Downstream, the city of Rexburg was flooded. 11 people and 13,000 cattle lost their lives. Total damages have been estimated at $2 billion.
