For years the pink elephant in Mio stood in front of the "pink store" by the M33 trailhead at Bull Gap. The pink store was a party store and gas station. Not sure when it officially moved.

The pink elephant in front of what is now the Mio Pizza Shop has been there since the 1970s at least, although I seem to remember that he was on the other side of the highway in the past.
