Unveiled in 2016, the bizarre metal sculpture turns Washington into a skeletal metal puppet. The real GW, who liked to be addressed, "Your Excellency," would never have shaken your hand.

Downtown, on the west side of US Hwy 29/N. Main St., one block north of its intersection with W. Innes St. The statue stands in front of the Rowan Museum, a neoclassical building with tall columns.
