Cheshire, Massachusetts - Giant Rooster Sadly this is gone. The restaurant it sat atop closed a year ago and the rooster flew the coop as well. I live a few towns away. We are all sad for our "loss." [Am, 05/16/2008][RA: August 2008: The rooster was bought by and moved to Rolling Acres Farm, which is a few miles north of the restaurant on Hwy 8. The rooster now stands on the ground, next to the Farm's silo.]
Cheshire, Massachusetts - Giant Rooster On Route 8 in Cheshire (home of the Giant Cheese Press), there is a restaurant called the Country Charm. In a previous incarnation, the place was known as The Chicken Stop, and to this day possesses an enormous statue of a white rooster (I'd estimate he's about 12 feet tall), legacy of this former life. The rooster used to sit on their front lawn, but now resides on the roof of the restaurant since he was abducted by a group of college students a few years back. [Amy Renaud-Mutart, 05/08/1999]
