Lexington, Kentucky: Parkette Drive-In Restaurant (Gone)

1950s drive-in restaurant with a big, memorable neon sign. The restaurant was reported closed in Aug. 2022, demolished in Sept.; sign might still stand.

Directions:
East edge of the city. I-75 exit 110. Drive west on Winchester Rd for two miles. Turn left at the stoplight onto Hwy 4 south. Drive one mile. You'll see the sign on the right.

The Parkette has closed for good. It is still standing as of August 23, 2022, but it is definitely out of operation.

The eatery may be closed, but its unique neon sign is still there -- at least for now.

Old School drive-in for burgers, fries, onion rings. Opened in the 1950s, then closed, remodeled, and reopened in 2008. Jukebox plays oldies and the food is delicious.
