Directions:
On the grounds of Lassen Pines Christian Camp. I-5 exit 678 or 678A in Redding. Drive west on Hwy 44 for 39 miles. When the road turns left, continue straight onto Brokeoff Meadows Rd. Drive a half-mile. After you pass on pond on the right, you'll see a small wooden sign for Fort Lassen. Park on the shoulder, and walk along a short dirt road with the pond on the right and an open field on the left. The Muffler Man stands on the far side of the field, up against the trees. Private property; please be respectful.

Muffler Man Paul Bunyan

Located in Viola, California at the Lassen Pines Christian Camp. It was moved from Redding, California some time in the early eighties. It used to stand in front of the Rite Spot restaurant that featured Paul Bunyan steaks and Paul Bunyan room. It later became known as the Paul Bunyan restaurant.

The boys and girls at the camp keep Paul Bunyan clean and freshly painted.
