Jimmy Carter Peanut Still looking great. I had to ask where this was located. I found it in the front of a gas station. It has moved locations a few times since the '70s. I was able to buy a fridge magnet and postcard of the smiling peanut at one of the tourist shops on W Main St.

Jimmy Carter Peanut We stopped by Plains in early August 2006 and found the Jimmy Carter Peanut in great condition. All of the damage has been repaired and it has been newly repainted. Currently, it's located in front of a store that is for sale, so who knows what the future may bring? The toothy grin is very bright, indeed!
