Oldest Continually Operating Ferry on the Mississippi We approached the Canton-Meyer Ferry from the Illinois side, having hopped back over just so we could reenter Missouri on the ferry across the Mississippi. It's a short trip, but a cool one. On the Missouri side, look for a rusted old military truck half hidden in some trees. [Steve Cook, 02/28/2007]
