Cowboy Willy Muffler Man
I dropped by to visit Cowboy Willy last week. He looks great in his recent paint job and giant rodeo belt buckle. He is located on the rodeo grounds, but we found the gate open. He's in a nice little fenced area with a fountain and landscaping.[Jody Day, 05/20/2016]

The big cowboy appears to have been given a dose of skin bronzer as well.

The Muffler Man in Willits is alive and well. He still resides at the Willits Rodeo Grounds - the site of the annual Frontier Days Rodeo celebration. He looks like he's been painted/restored since the photo you have was taken.[Christy Collins, 01/12/2007]
He's on Commercial St., east of highway 101, across from the Mendicino County Historical Museum. He lives on the rodeo grounds. It looks like they have something called 'Willits Frontier Days' on the grounds.
He appears to be a standard configuration. He's wearing a cowboy hat and holding a branding iron with a 'W' on the end. He's locked up behind a fence about 20-30 yards from the road.[Curt Elsbernd, 11/25/1998]
