I dropped by to visit Cowboy Willy last week. He looks great in his recent paint job and giant rodeo belt buckle. He is located on the rodeo grounds, but we found the gate open. He's in a nice little fenced area with a fountain and landscaping.

In June of 2013, Willits Frontier Days updated their Muffler Man, named "Cowboy Willy," with a new outfit and general repair. Come and see Cowboy Willy during the Willits Frontier Days celebrations held during the two weeks around the Fourth of July.

The Muffler Man in Willits is alive and well. He still resides at the Willits Rodeo Grounds - the site of the annual Frontier Days Rodeo celebration. He looks like he's been painted/restored since the photo you have was taken.
