This Muffler Man used to be Paul Bunyan, and held a big ax. He was part of a larger collection on display at Webb's City, "The worlds most unusual drug store," in St. Petersburg. The only remnants of Webb's City are the parking lot and Doc Webb's penthouse apartment at 1st Ave S. and 9th St.[Tom Mitchell, 01/28/2013]

He's standing on the roof of Starkey Road Auto Parts, 11900 Starkey Road in Largo. He's in pretty good shape with guy wires holding him in place. According to a local, the auto parts store was heavily damaged in a storm a few years back, but the Muffler Man emerged unscathed.[Don Rhoden, 06/20/1998]
