[Papa Joe, 06/02/2016]I am sad to report that the Crash Down Diner closed its doors for good in October of 2003, according to the local souvenir shop owners. There is supposed to be a new restaurant in another part of town called Crash Down Cafe, but it was closed at 5:00 on a Sunday so we couldn't find out anything about it.

This restaurant sits adjacent to one of Roswell's UFO Museums. The Crash Down Diner served up some surprisingly tasty hamburgers. Some of their menu items are named after characters from the WB series Roswell. The cafe has been featured on that show as well. Extremely nice cook and staff too! Check it out if you're in this Alien-friendly town.

The diner may be gone, but the flying saucer is still crashed into the facade. The diner was absorbed into the neighboring "Starchild" gift shop -- a worthy assimilation.
