After viewing this site a group of girls and I decided to take a small road trip to see some of the closer attractions to Chicago. With my interest in furniture and the odd I decided to make the hour drive to Amboy. With no instructions on where this chair is, we figured if it was a 55 foot tree we would see it from the main road. I was unable to spot this huge item, and stopped at many establishments. The people were very nice but unable to recall there ever being a 55-foot chair in this town. They did, however, explain the history of the tree park and all the statues carved from huge trees, and suggested it might be there. No luck. I don't think this attraction is available anymore.

Bim Willow, the chair creator, responds: "It was and I believe still is at a private residence just out of town (off the map). I will check to see its condition They, like the artists, all biodegrade. I'm working on other roadside stick attractions that I will fill you in on soon. P.S. Not done with big chairs, just working on the people to put in them." Your naturally twisted friend, Bim Willow
