World's Oldest Operating Mcdonald's

We ate at the world's oldest operating McDonald's in Downey, California on a sunny Sunday afternoon in June of 2001. We had driven from West Virginia to California, and were visiting my wife's cousin in Pico Rivera.

This McDonald's had Speedee as its mascot, and only served the basics - burgers, cheeseburgers, fries, sodas, shakes. The cheeseburgers were the best fast-food cheeseburgers we have ever eaten.
