Flying Moose This flying moose carving is, I believe, a one piece wooden one. It marks the driveway of a private residence. It is between Greenville and Rockwood, Maine, on SR15 (state route 15). Greenville is at the southernmost point of Moosehead Lake and Rockwood is a small community of 200 souls, on the way to Canada. [Travis L. Smith, 08/31/1998][RA: A sign next to the statue recounts "The Legend of the Flying Moose," as passed down from the Abenaquis tribe.]
