The ship is still a hulking abandoned vessel, and still not open to the public.

Giant Ship Hulk - SS United States

The SS United States is right across the street from IKEA and visible from the 400 section of Phillies Stadium. Just look for the giant smoke stacks along the Delaware.

Giant Ship Hulk - SS United States

Driving back from a vacation trip on 1-95, my 8 year old daughter suddenly said "Dad, there's the Titanic!"

I looked to the side, and wow, there was a giant black hull ocean liner, complete with deep V hull and giant smokestacks! Upon getting home and researching, I found it is the SS United States; a long neglected classic ocean liner, with a long suffering following of people who faithfully dream of its "resurrection." It cannot be toured, but makes an awesome roadside sight!
