Bay Port, Michigan - "Fish Sandwich" weekend

The little town of Bay Port is situated on US25 which runs up the western side of Michigan's thumb. At one time this town was famous as the largest fresh water fishing port of the world. Its claim to fame now is that each summer they have the "Fish Sandwich" weekend and are the best fish sandwiches you have ever eaten. The weekend is either the last weekend in July or the first weekend in August. [Herman Jeroue, 03/04/2000]
