Mystic Pizza

Mystic Pizza has been Mystic Pizza since 1971, long before the 1988 "Mystic Pizza" movie. Back then it was only a fraction of the size it is now (Basically the take-out area was the entire restaurant). What is now the dining room was formerly a laundromat and other short-lived businesses until it was purchased following the pizzeria's newfound fame thanks to the movie. Despite the title, no filming took place inside tiny Mystic Pizza; Stonington Pizza Palace was the actual inside set that was used.
