VW Slug Bug Ranch
The Bug Ranch is impossible to miss when you exit from I-40, but when you arrive from Amarillo by Route 66 don't forget to turn left in Conway, just like if you wanted to go on I-40. The place is totally abandoned now, but worth the trip -- it's so unusual.

Fun stop. Oddly enough, I ran into the same couple I ran into at the Cadillac Ranch, even though it was a full day later. Left my mark, of course.
[The Irish Cowgirl, 01/12/2009]Don't forget to stop and pick up some spray paint before you make the trek to the VW Bug Ranch and the Cadillac Ranch. You're encouraged to leave your mark at both sites.

Slug Bug Ranch. Five Volkswagen Bugs buried nose down in the ground similar to Cadillac Ranch. I visited the site this morning, 05/02/2004, and it is actually 18 miles east of the east edge of Amarillo. It's an open air display that is accessible 24 hours a day at no cost.
