Visitor Tips and News About Sacred White Buffalo Ranch
These are one the most sacred buffalo of the Native American, with a story to match. If going to the Grand Canyon, this is on the way. The buffalo are the first and only DNA-proven white buffalo. I love these buffalo so much I returned for the second time, and I'll return whenever I'm in the area.[shawn curry, 08/23/2006]
On our way back from the Grand Canyon, we stopped to see the "Rare White Buffalo." The sign begged us to come see the rare animals, and James wanted to stop. We went in to pay our admission, and the hippie chick asked if we were going to take photos. Against my judgement, James said, "Yes," and the hippie chick informed us that it would be an extra FOUR DOLLARS to take some photos. Inside the compound area a large milk jug was marked "donations." They gave us a sheet about the White Buffalo Prophecy, basically claiming that they were the destined white people to take care of the animals. The buffalo have been given names like Miracle Moon and Mandela Peace Pilgrim.[Heidi Crabtree, 09/25/2002]
We enjoyed this shot of Heidi desperately trying to get her money's worth at the Sacred White Buffalo photo op.
