"The Lord is Good to me, and so I thank the Lord. For giving me the things I need - the sun and rain and the apple seed - yes he is good to me."
Stopped by one of our favorite United States legends today: Johhny Appleseed's grave. It was planted with sweet apple trees surrounding it -- very sweet.
We entered at the stadium and could see the monument from the road. It was a quick two minute walk up the hill to the grave.

Hard to find, but so well worth it. It's behind the Coliseum, on Parnell. There's a small drive that has cement blockers on the right (past Ridgewood Dr.). Park car, walk straight ahead, go up hill. You can ask the guard at gate for the Coliseum by stoplight to park there if no show is going on.

There is a grave memorial to John Chapman, AKA Johnny Appleseed. His real grave is said to be just outside of Fort Wayne. Every year we have a Johnny Appleseed Festival with pioneer stuff. People leave apples on his grave.
