Carrington, North Dakota - Muffler Man - Indian

I am happy to report the Carrington, ND Muffler Man is alive and well. I took this photo on 7/26/01. It is in front of the Chieftain Motel and Restaurant. I didn't record the exact address, but it is in the middle of town, and the town isn't that big. [Nathan Forrider, 10/13/2002]

This one, unlike Jesse Jamestown who was a mere half hour drive away, is an Indian and located at Carrington's finest -- the Chieftain Motel and Restaurant. I remember the thrill as a youngster driving through town, stopping at the restaurant to eat, and then climbing around the Indian Chief's feet. [Carol Jo Steffen, 04/22/1998]
