World's Most Artistic Bathrooms

Some museums allow you to take photos, others don't. Here you can take photos in the bathrooms, but not in the exhibit halls. How wacky is that?

The bathrooms are great, but the whole art center is free and their collection is amazing! A lot of the pieces have "Roadside" value. There is also a space for kids to make art, a nice gift shop, and a cafe. You can also visit the bathroom of the opposite sex if you knock first and find it vacant.

Artist-enhanced restrooms

The John Michael Kohler Art Center in downtown Sheboygan had different artists design the bathrooms when an addition was built. Each one is totally unique. Women can visit the men's room when given the OK, and vice versa. Really beautiful. The Center also houses works by visiting artists to the Kohler foundary - the same place the toilets and tubs are made! First built in the original Kohler homestead, part of which is still used for displays.
