Muffler Man Sign

Muffler Man described as being in Salt Lake City at 300 w and 500 or 600 north is not there. There is an old repair shop and some other empty spots where it might have been; but it is not there now. [tom mettler, 07/19/2007]

[RA: Mystery solved. Salt Lake City has a chain of "Master Muffler" shops featuring signs of a muffler-chested repairman. The one at the corner of Main St. and W. 7th St. blew down in a storm, but there's another at State St. and E. 39th St.]

SLC Muffler Man

Muffler man, erect. Muffler man had two left hands and has seen better days. I have seen more, usually flat on back in very unlikely places. [Troy Johnston, 01/11/2003]

There is no muffler man at SW corner of 300 West Street and either 500 or 600 North Street. There is an old muffler shop on the SW corner at 600 North street but there is no muffler man unfortunately."]
