Northfield, Minnesota: Defeat of Jesse James Days

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Northfield, home of a famous bank robbery by the James-Younger gang in 1876. Northfield celebrates "Defeat of Jesse James Days" the weekend after Labor Day with a carnival, rodeo, and daily reenactments of the robbery in period costume. (Apparently, it used to be just 'Jesse James Days,' but the town powers-that-be thought that implied too much approval of his evil deeds... in tribute, the Quality Bakery on Division St. makes weird-looking sticky buns called 'De Feet of Jesse James').
