A Sycamore grown from seeds brought aboard Apollo 14, they were distributed to towns across the country as part of the Bicentennial celebrations in 1976. Holliston's tree stands next to the Holliston Police Station on MA Route 16 (Washington St.) close to the downtown. [Michelle, 04/06/2003]

[RA: Moon trees are planted throughout the US -- from a loblolly pine in New Orleans to a sycamore planted in Lansing, Michigan by the governor. But they are disappointments as tourist attractions. Guess we lucked out when they sprouted as normal trees rather than brain-sucking invaders....]
