Lynchburg, Virginia - Giant Pitcher Sitting just inside the gate of Lynchburg's City Cemetery is a Giant Pitcher.
The Pitcher was a working fountain at the town reservoir from 1890 to 1963 when the reservoir was covered. According to a local resident, the pitcher stood on the steps of the Water Authority building for years before being moved to the cemetery. It must be 6' tall. Maybe this is the final resting place for this giant pitcher.
