Grave of John Belushi

My younger brother recently took us for a tour of Martha's Vineyard and one of the stops we made was at Abel's Hill Cemetery to see the grave of John Belushi. It's said that the people of Martha's Vineyard didn't want him to be buried there because they were afraid the site would become similar to the grave of Jim Morrison in Paris, with trash being left all over the area. While we did see a few beer caps, some cigarette butts as well as a few whole cigarettes and wine corks, I personally found it to be a respectful place, and the items left seemed to be left more as offerings than as "trash."

Other rumors are that his body is actually buried elsewhere in the cemetery in an unmarked tomb or that he's buried in his home state of Illinois. [Sherri Q., 08/15/2003]
