Atlanta, Georgia - Tombstone of Sideways the Dog Tombstone of Sideways the dog, lived at Georgia Tech for a couple of years before eating rat poison (a common theme from what I can tell). She was named "Sideways" because she was thrown from a car on North Avenue out in front of Tech in 1945, seriously injuring her, and giving her a kind of "sideways" appearence.
