Tomb of Sideways the Dog

The Tech Tower [where Sideways is buried] has "TECH" written on each of its four sides, not just a giant "T." See also the nearby steam whistle on the west side of the building. It blows five minutes before the hour during the day. [Neil Thom, 01/01/2010]

Grave of Sideways the Dog Tombstone of Sideways the Dog

Tombstone of Sideways the dog, lived at Georgia Tech for a couple of years before eating rat poison (a common theme from what I can tell). She was named "Sideways" because she was thrown from a car on North Avenue out in front of Tech in 1945, seriously injuring her, and giving her a kind of "sideways" appearance.
