Elvis Is Alive Museum

Andy Key, who bought the artifacts of the original Elvis Is Alive Museum on e-Bay in late 2007, has now opened his own version of it in Hattiesburg, Mississippi along with a few extra exhibit items that he was able to obtain. It's part of his new eatery called Sivle's Grill which besides having the usual foods found at a roadside grill, also has peanut butter and banana sandwiches which was Elvis's favorite food! Two very good reasons to check this place out.

That's right, this piece of wackiness is closing [in Wright City, MO]. Bill Beeny has announced its closure and he has put all his memorabilia up for sale on eBay. He hopes someone will buy everything and open a museum of their own to keep the fight alive.

July 2008: The museum has reopened in Hattiesburg, MS. Nov 2007: The collection is moving to Mississippi, either to Laurel, Jackson, or Hattiesburg. Winning eBay bidder Andy Key intends to reopen it with the Elvis is Alive theme.

Elvis is Alive Museum

Dr. Beeny (yes, he's a Dr.) is still running the museum/real estate office. He has now added de-classified files released by the FBI that he'll tell you about. It was free to browse around and ask any questions. Bill is a very friendly fellow indeed! He also has a streaming radio broadcast as well (mightystreamradio.com) that mixes his Elvis is Alive views and "religious awareness."

We thought it was a good stop on our way to Graceland. It was good for a chuckle if nothing else.

November 2007: Bill Beeny is shutting down his museum, and has placed the collection on eBay, in the hopes that someone else will buy it all and continue the museum.
