Self-Kicking Club
Located at a Service station on SR-20, there's a homemade machine for kicking one's self.
[Gerald D Massey, 07/04/2012]On my drive over the scenic North Cascades Highway, I was delighted to discover the Rockport Self-Kicking Machine. This device, sitting in a small grassy alcove of a gas station's parking lot, allows the user to turn a crank, and thus begin a procession of boots kicking his or her rear-end. These boots are attached to a wooden wheel, which spins when the user turns the crank. In order to turn the crank, the user must be standing in a way that places his or her backside squarely into the turning radius of the wooden wheel. Great photo opportunity, and chance to kick yourself in the butt!
Rockport is nothing more than one intersection, and the machine is located in the parking lot of the only gas station/mini mart in the town.

Kudos to Jerry Nielsen for rebuilding the machine. It had been destroyed in a blizzard in 2009.
