Mammy's Cupboard
Large woman figure with restaurant and gift shop inside her skirt.
[Nita Moser, 06/25/2016]What a great place! Easy to find. Took the drive down the Natchez Trace from I-20 for about an hour. There it was. We had lunch -- the Thursday special, Pork Tenderloin, rice, green beans, Broccoli cornbread....yum! Everything homemade. Had some Hummingbird Cake for dessert...wow! And had the Blueberry lemonade. Everything was excellent. Good prices.
Would highly recommend going to this restaurant for the atmosphere and just to say you've seen it!

Wonderful food at Mammy's Cupboard. Be sure to get some banana caramel pie and blueberry lemonade.
[Ritch E Southard, 08/21/2010]We drive by Mammy's Cupboard on a regular basis. The restaurant inside is excellent. I recommend the Blueberry Lemonade -- even my husband, who hates blue berries, loves it. Often, if we time our trip right, we stop in for a lemonade and pie (all homemade of course).
If you like good home cooking, it's a great stop but beware it is usually busy! You may share a table and make some new friends. My oldest son loves to look for her, every time! Sometimes, we just carry-out our pie and drink.
[Connie A, 08/30/2006]Mammy - Not Painted White
The reports were wrong. Mammy is a mocha color! I took a swing by Natchez this week from Florida and the mega mammy is far from "lily white". I zoomed in on her face for confirmation. Under her dress is a gift shop with a restaurant located in back. A women at the tourist information center swore (in her deepest southern accent) it was the best food in town. A smaller and more dark skinned mammy sign in the parking lists hours and gift ideas. Mammy's Cupboard is closed on Sunday and Monday and is still run by the Gaude family.
