World's Largest Rubik's Cube
A restored relic from the 1982 Knoxville World's Fair, though there is some doubt around its history. A complex set of motors made it move, then it broke, then it was repaired, now it's broken again.

World's Largest Rubik's Cube It took a little searching for us to find the building; lucky for us a random passer-by directed us. There may have been a sign that said "do not touch," but I just couldn't help myself. All 3 rows turned. I loved the fact that this was a gift from a World's Fair. [Danielle, 09/28/2011]
World's Largest Rubik's Cube We visited the Rubik's Cube thinking it might no longer be there, but it was there! It was turned weird, and didn't make any attractive design, and it wasn't plugged in or anything and therefore just stood stationary. There was a neat little plaque by it describing the reason of it. Very neat and very easy to find! We just went into the Holiday Inn and asked the person at the desk about it, and he showed us the way. [Ricks, 03/20/2010]
World's Largest Rubik's Cube Early April 2009 we saw the dismantled center of the Rubik's Cube being loaded onto the back of a pickup truck from in front of the Holiday Inn restaurant to destination unknown. [Tabitha, 04/14/2009]
World's Largest Rubik's Cube I saw the cube yesterday, and as described it's at the top of the escalators connecting to the Holiday Inn. Unfortunately it was not moving when I saw it, and there was no one around to ask if it still worked or could be turned on. [Joel K., 03/23/2009]
