World's Largest Rubik's Cube I saw the cube yesterday, and as described it's at the top of the escalators connecting to the Holiday Inn. Unfortunately it was not moving when I saw it, and there was no one around to ask if it still worked or could be turned on.
[Joel K., 03/23/2009]The World's Largest Rubik's Cube is back! It was just recently moved into the Knoxville Convention and Exhibition Center (not to be confused with the Knoxville Convention Center). The cube was a gift from the Hungarian government for the 1982 World's Fair.
[Danny Martin, 07/27/2007]The World's Largest Rubik's Cube from the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville is now wasting away in storage. The cube had fallen into disrepair and no one wanted to pay for it's restoration. I have heard rumors that the Knoxville Historical Society is trying to restore it but can not confirm them.

The motorized, ever-changing Cube is ten feet tall and weighs 1,200 pounds. It was left to rot for 25 years, but in 2007 (the 25th anniversary of the Knoxville World's Fair) it was restored by Brittnee Robinson, a junior in electrical engineering and chairwoman of the Institute for Electronic and Electrical Engineers at the University of Tennessee.
