The city made this guy take down all of the items he had on display in front of his trailer and I heard that he moved. I drive by on my way to work and there is just a trailer now. [mike henry, 03/22/2008]

Cortland, New York - Trailer Park "White House"

On Route 13. Look left as travelling south. It is a trailer in a trailer park that is 100% white. And by 100%, I mean completely white! Anything and everything on the exterior of the home is painted white: the lawn ornaments, the entrance gate, even the stones on the ground. There just seems to be no tolerance for any shred of color other than stark white (only the windows are unpainted). It is quite an odd scene -- especially ethereal in the Winter just after a coating of snow. [Joseph Welch, 08/01/2003]

Directions: Cortland is a small city on US Rt. 81 (N-S running) half-way between Binghamton, NY and Syracuse, NY. Take the Rt. 13 exit and follow Rt. 13 South through the town. The white trailer will be on your left about a mile or two after you have gone through the main downtown area (about 3-4 miles after the exit). It is only about 15 feet from the road.
