Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - Elvis Museum On a trip to Pigeon Forge in August 2003, we were All Shook Up -- the Elvis Museum has left the building! This was just Too Much! There was no sign or warning to let Suspicious Minds know that the Museum was gone. All that is left of the Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge is the still well-stocked gift shop. The lady behind the counter told us that the Elvis Museum had been closed for a couple of months and the building is scheduled to be torn down. Don't Be Cruel! This turned our trip into a regular Heartbreak Hotel! But That's All Right, Mama -- she said that there are plans to reopen the Elvis Museum in a new building in the Spring of 2004. If that's true, we may Return to Sender . . . or at least, Pigeon Forge. [Bruce Solomon, 09/02/2003]
