[Sayward Duffano, 06/10/2006]Magic Golf - The original Goofy Golf
When we stopped, the guy working there told us he had grown up in Biloxi. He said that years ago, Magic Golf was the ONLY attraction there of any kind, and that now that the place is overrun with casinos, it's still the only attraction for kids.
Just about all the statues and hazards were really crudely made concrete figures, although they seemed to be well cared for and were freshly painted. I doubt if they were the original fixtures from the 50s. The dino, however, looked like he could easily be a remnant from the 50s--and the fact that he evidently survived Camille while the rest of the course was trashed kinda adds to his pedigree. Those big gaping eye sockets, btw, once had light bulbs in them.
