Boyett's Grove and Citrus Attraction

The absolute best kind of kitschy. This place is filled with endless giddy surprises of but wait... theres more!. The zoo exceeded our expectations. SO MANY ANIMALS! Definitely worth paying extra to see and feed them. They all seem healthy and well taken care of. The camel was my favorite. Besides the zoo... there's the dinosaur exhibit, taxidermy room, spooky mannequins, and more!

Boyett's Grove - Florida Citrus Attraction

Boyett's Grove is an eclectic family attraction; "Old Florida" at its finest. Many attractions have become commercialized over the years, but this one has retained the charm and quirkiness of roadside attractions of the 1950s and '60s. There's a gift shop, vintage arcade, ice cream, large zoo, Dinosaur Cave, and historic memorabilia. You may purchase food for the animals at an additional cost, which I recommend. Visitors may also observe citrus being packed at certain times of the year. The owners are currently working toward the opening of a dinosaur-themed mini golf course and are refurbishing a large aquarium in the pirate area. Our family had a lot of fun at this attraction and we would visit again. [Mandy S., 09/07/2014]

The Citrus Attraction includes a large gift shop and zoo with dinosaur themed areas. One current dinosaur cave with several exhibits and second dinosaur area is under construction, hopefully to open soon. The zoo has a wide variety of animals including monkeys, zebra, emu, alligators as well as variety of other local species. There is also a large aquarium and tropical bird aviary. Offers a large variety of citrus fruit in the growing season.

Citrus Attraction at Boyett Groves

Old Florida roadside citrus processing plant, huge Florida gift shop, aquarium, and zoo located in hilly region of central Florida. Loads of old timey Florida souvenirs, candies, jellies, etc. Zoo is $2.50 for adults and has the typical alligator, civet cats, monkeys, ostriches, large turtles, deer, exotic birds, etc. The zoo and aquarium are spotless as are the entire attraction. This place has been around since who-knows-when.
