The Little America Hotel chain started as a respite for travelers in the golden age of motoring. Today, there are long lines to pick up an ice cream at the service station and a playground for the kids. While looking for the penguin, don't miss a photo with the Sinclair dinosaur and a fiberglass buffalo. Bonus points if you notice the penguin on the roof!

This is an Emperor penguin, the mascot of Little America. It died on its way from Antarctica to Boston. Not wanting to give up, they had it stuffed and shipped anyway.
