Maxie the Canada Goose Festival Sumner has an annual Goose Festival every third weekend of October. It's really cool. I go to this every year. They have a gooseberry pie contest.
The goose is named Maxie (which is a female). She is made of fiberglass, and is not just a monument, but has rollers on the bottom, and the beak points the direction in which the wind is blowing. [Joyce, 06/22/2007]
