Kennywood Grand Carousel.

Kennywood Park from Adventureland

Enjoyed our time at Kennywood!! Really loved the old carousel. Short lines for rides except for their newest roller coaster, Steel Curtain, which we didn't ride due to the three hour wait.

SS Kenny.

Kennywood Park from Adventureland

Kennywood is on the location of the Battle of the Monongahela that took place on July 9th, 1755, and is one of only two amusement parks designated as National Historic Landmarks. It is a traditional amusement park with a nostalgic atmosphere, historic rides, and a small town feeling.

Kennywood Park

Kennywood Park is full of antiquity, charm and many memories. Founded in 1898 as a small trolley park near Pittsburgh, Kennywood was begun by the Monongahela Street Railway Company, which was controlled by Andrew Mellon. Today's Kennywood still contains two major buildings dating from 1898 -- a carousel pavilion and a restaurant (originally the Casino).
