Muffler Man - Gone
The Muffler Man next to Cowboy's Pawn Shop has been sold to the owner of a chain of muffler shops in Florida. New owner Steve Torregiante reports: "On a recent vacation I went through pain-staking efforts to track down the owner of the big guy. After a few weeks of wrangling negotiations, we finally settled on a price." The M-Man will be transported, restored with automotive finish, and refitted with a baseball cap and a large wrench.

On the way to my wife's grandparent's house for Easter I passed this giant on the roadside. Believe it or not, this one is found in a town called Tool, Texas. This man stands beside an interesting store called Cowboy's Pawn Shop (and auto sales). Not sure if this is a permanent fixture of this store or just there for sale.
[Julian Garbaccio, 04/18/2004]This big boy wears a cowboy hat, long sleeved shirt and has a wonderful mustache painted on. His hands are in the correct Muffler Man position, and he holds a rifle. He looks to be in good condition in front of a pawn shop that's been for sale for a few years.
